At ArogBhog, we believe that Basmati is not just rice—it is an experience of royalty. However, the world of Basmati is filled with deception. Many "Premium" brands sell young rice or "blended" lots where long grains are mixed with inferior varieties to lower the price. ArogBhog Basmati is 100% Pure, Single-Origin, and Extra-Long Grain. Sourced from the snow-fed foothills of the Himalayas, our Basmati is defined by its dramatic length, its delicate needle-like shape, and a floral aroma that defines "The Scent of India."

The Fact is: The secret to the legendary Basmati "elongation" and aroma is Patience. Freshly harvested Basmati is full of moisture and "weak" starch; if cooked immediately, it breaks and sticks. ArogBhog Basmati is Aged for up to 2 Years. During this time, the grains lose moisture, the oils concentrate, and the starch hardens. This allows the grain to expand to 2.5 times its raw size when cooked, resulting in the famous "separated" texture where every grain stands proud.

Because we only source the finest 1121 or Pusa varieties, a single cup of ArogBhog Basmati yields a platter of fluffy, aromatic rice that is as beautiful to look at as it is to eat.

Why ArogBhog Basmati Rice is Superior:

  • Himalayan Snow-Fed Grains: Our rice is grown in the specific belt of North India where the soil and water chemistry create the highest concentration of 2-Acetyl-1-pyrroline (the natural aroma compound).

  • 24-Month Natural Aging: We don't use "Quick-Steam" aging. We allow the grain to mature naturally in temperature-controlled environments, ensuring a non-sticky, "Khila-Khila" result every single time.

  • Exceptional Grain Length: We select only the "Extra Long" grade. When cooked, our grains are thin, elongated, and have a soft, buttery "mouth-feel" that inferior blends cannot match.

  • Zero Chemical Polishing: While others use liquid paraffin or oils to make rice look "shiny," ArogBhog is naturally processed. Our rice has a natural, ivory-white matte finish—the mark of true purity.

The ArogBhog Purity Test:

Take a few grains of raw ArogBhog Basmati and look at the tips. They should be tapered and pointed, not blunt. When you boil the rice, watch the elongation; a true ArogBhog grain will stretch significantly without breaking. The most important test is the Room Test: the aroma of our Basmati should be detectable in the next room while it's cooking. If your rice smells like "nothing," it isn't ArogBhog.
