At ArogBhog, we know that the secret to a world-class Biryani isn't just the spices—it’s the rice that carries them. ArogBhog Golden Sella is the most premium grade of parboiled Basmati available. While market-grade Sella can often feel rubbery or have a sharp, fermented smell, our Golden Sella is a masterpiece of texture, aroma, and visual appeal. It is the rice that stays perfect, whether it's in a massive catering pot or your home pressure cooker.

Sourced from the "Basmati Bowl" of India

We source our Golden Sella exclusively from the paddy fields of Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh. Here, the soil is uniquely suited for the 1121 Basmati variety, which is the only grain long and strong enough to undergo the intense Golden Sella parboiling process without losing its integrity.

The Fact is: The "Golden" Difference

What makes it "Golden"? It’s not a dye or a chemical coating. The rich, amber hue comes from a Deep-Steaming Process where the rice is parboiled while still in its golden husk.

  • Nutrient Infusion: This intensive steaming forces the nutrients (especially B vitamins) from the bran into the heart of the grain. This makes Golden Sella much more nutritious than highly polished white rice.

  • The "Non-Sticky" Guarantee: The starch in the grain is gelatinized during steaming. This creates a "hard" grain that never sticks, never clumps, and never breaks, no matter how many times you reheat the Biryani.

  • Massive Elongation: ArogBhog Golden Sella grains can grow up to 20mm–24mm when cooked, providing that "needle-like" look that is the hallmark of a royal feast.

Why ArogBhog Golden Sella is Superior:

  • No "Sella" Smell: We use a proprietary Multi-Stage Air Drying technique after steaming. This eliminates the damp, pungent odor often found in commercial Sella rice, leaving behind only the sweet, nutty fragrance of Basmati.

  • Uniform Amber Color: Each grain is consistent in color. We use advanced Optical Sorting to remove any discolored or "black-tipped" grains, ensuring your dish looks like a work of art.

  • Low Oil Absorption: Because the grain surface is "sealed" by the parboiling process, it absorbs less oil and fat during cooking, making your Biryanis feel lighter and less greasy.

  • Aged to Perfection: We age our Golden Sella for at least 12 months to ensure the moisture content is low, resulting in maximum fluffiness and volume.

The ArogBhog Purity Test:

Soak ArogBhog Golden Sella for at least 60 to 90 minutes (it’s a tough grain, it needs the water!). After cooking, look at the tip of the grain. A true 1121 Golden Sella grain will be exceptionally long and slightly curved, with a firm "bite." If the grain is short, fat, or loses its golden tint completely after boiling, it is a low-quality hybrid, not the authentic Golden Sella we provide.
