Komal Pari Rice

Komalpari rice, also widely known as Komal Saul or "Magic Rice," is an indigenous and highly unique rice variety from Assam, India. The primary feature of this rice, derived from the low-amylose Chokuwa paddy, is its ability to be consumed without cooking. Due to traditional parboiling and sun-drying, this special rice becomes instantly soft and ready to eat when simply soaked in water for a short period (15-30 minutes). It is a nutritious breakfast staple, often enjoyed with curd, cream, and jaggery or molasses during Assamese festivals and daily life.
