Our Whole Green Peas are kept completely unpolished and untreated. They might have a natural, matte appearance, but that is the hallmark of a product that hasn't been tampered with.
The Fact is: The outer skin of the whole pea is a massive source of insoluble fiber, which is essential for gut health. Commercial polishing often uses heat and friction that can "cook" the surface of the pea, making it hard and difficult to soften even after hours of soaking.
